As predicted it was a 🥶 and 💨 night at Bayview as we looked to keep the pressure on the other teams at the business end of the league.
Glens struck first when a wind assisted strike caught Scott out who could only parry it against the bar with the Glens forward first to react to knock the ball home. However, we got back in the game almost immediately when good play down the right see Kenzi burst pass the defender and fire in a low cross which Miller turned into the net.
With the wind causing both teams trouble we almost grabbed a second when Callum met Ryan's corner but the GK managed to push his header against the bar and we couldn't scramble the ball home. At the other end Scott made amends with a sharp save at the near post to stop Glens going back in front before HT.
The start of the second half seen a raft of changes as Nichita, Miller and Newsy making way for Lyall, Euan and Logan W. With the wind behind their backs the boys started to press as we looked to get the go ahead goal. This came when Ryan whipped in a free kick and Lyall flicked a header into the far corner. Ryan then gave us some breathing space with a super free kick which flew into the top corner. Lyall then turned provider as he worked his way to the byeline to square for Logan to grab our fourth which was the end of the scoring as we saw the game out to claim the 3 points.
Its back to cup action next week as we welcome Troon FC u20s to Windmill in the Challenge Cup.
